Conserving Sam, the Turtle of St Agnes Museum in 2008
If you are visiting North Cornwall, pop in to see the giant Leatherback Turtle that expired on a local
beach some years ago. The specimen was subsequently mounted but, over the ensuing years, started to deteriorate
and required some conservation and restoration work.
In preparation are some Fin-back Whale jawbones that will fairly soon be gracing a part of the museum gallery or maybe displayed outside.
